1. WHICH COFFEE MACHINES CAN I USE YOUR CAPSULES WITH ?

Our capsules are not however compatible with the following brand machines: Gaggia, Saeco, Siemens, Miele (built in) & Romeo Nespresso® machines. These machines are not widely available in Australia & are not available for purchase at Nespresso® stores.
There has recently been a lot of press regarding the latest Nespresso® machines the Pixie, U & Inissia and their redesigned blades. As our capsules do not rely on penetration by the blades, this is of no significance to our product for which our capsules works flawlessly.

Roasting, grinding and packing takes place in a climate-controlled environment and the wrapping process removes approximately 99% of the oxygen from the finished product. Without this wrapping process, the coffee would rapidly lose flavour and aroma.

Good water quality is essential for a good coffee. While tap water varies from state to state and from season to season, we recommend the use filtered water for best results.
10. MY MACHINE SEEMS DIFFICULT TO CLOSE, IS THIS NORMAL ?
Yes, this is quite normal. Our capsules are made from a food-grade plastic. While our capsules are compliant, they are not as compliant as the aluminium capsules used elsewhere and so closing the lever of the machine may require additional effort. This should not damage your machine.
11. MY MACHINE IS STILL DRIPPING AT THE END OF THE EXTRACTION, IS THIS NORMAL?
Yes, this is normal, and is not a sign of any damage to the machine. We aim to get a longer extraction time in order to release all the flavours & aromas of the coffee. At the end of the extraction cycle, pressure within the capsule may cause a few drops of coffee to fall after the cycle has finished.
12. MY COFFEE TAKES A LONG TIME TO POUR, IS THAT NORMAL ?
Yes, that is completely normal. Our capsules by design do extract slower than other capsules. This slower extraction ensures maximum flavour, aroma and crema on your coffee to provide the very best experience from your coffee. To enjoy a real espresso, it is advisable to extract a 25ml shot of coffee for which the extraction time is usually between 12-18 seconds of coffee flow depending on the variant. You can extend this to a 40ml shot, but the balance of flavour and intensity will be different. The extraction time on a 40ml shot will be between 18-30 seconds depending on your machine, hardness of water, scale buildup in your machine etc.
13. CAPSULES DO NOT EJECT AUTOMATICALLY ?
Capsules should be ejected after the coffee machine finishes it dispensing cycle. Sometimes people forget and so the capsule may contract & expand with cooling & heating of the machine & become lodged in the barrel. Should this happen, we suggest you refer to your user manual for instructions if this happens.
14. THE CAPSULE RUPTURED. WHY IS THIS ?
The capsules expand when they are introduced to hot water under high pressure. In rare cases, this can lead to separation of the aluminium foil lid. Please check for visible residue on the filter plate and remove it. We recommend that you purge the coffee machine before making the next cup of coffee.
15. WHEN THE CAPSULE IS INSERTED IT FALLS DIRECTLY INTO THE CAPSULE HOLDER - WHAT SHOULD I DO ?
You may simply use the same capsule again. For best results, place the capsule in the capsule holder slowly and at a slight angle, then close the lever.
16. MY MACHINE IS BLINKING AND WON’T MAKE COFFEE ?
Different machines have different troubleshooting methods. It is best to refer to the machines user manual.
17. I HAVE COFFEE GRINDS IN THE CUP. WHY IS THIS ?
Our coffee is very finely ground. Occasionally a few of the very finest particles of coffee may get past the filter plate and extract along with the coffee into the cup. As coffee is a natural product, this will not affect your health. Purging the machine between uses is a good way of ensuring any leftover coffee grounds may be flushed out of the machine.
18. HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY MACHINE ?
Follow the manufacturer’s guide for servicing, cleaning and maintaining the machine. Depending on your location and water quality, Descale is recommended to ensure optimum operation of your machine.
19. HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY COFFEE FOR BEST RESULTS ?
To get the best possible extraction, we recommend that you purge your machine to pre-heat your cup before making a coffee. This can be done in one easy step by running hot water from your machine into your cup without inserting a capsule. Pour out the hot water & proceed to make your espresso.
This does a few things that will enhance the taste of your coffee:
